Oil painting on canvas (20in by 16in)
An impressionist abstract self-portrait, using composition and colour theory to explore mulitiple things that lay heavy on my mind. Inspiration for paint application came from Monet and Van Gogh, as well as having inspiration for composition from Edvard Munch. I used these ideas with my own style and personal themings to make a melancholic and emotionally wrought painting.
